Air Travel
Verona’s international Airport Catullo in Villafranca is situated approximately 13 km
S-W of the city centre.

There is a shuttle bus service to and from the airport outside Verona Porta Nuova Railway

Taxis to the city centre from the airport take around 20 minutes and cost approximately Euro 30.
Train Travel
The main railway station is VERONA PORTA NUOVA. Intercity trains run regularly from all the main cities in Italy.

Venice and Milan are approximately 1 hour and Rome is 4 hours on intercity trains on the Milan – Venice line. A new service between Rome and Verona takes only 3 hours.

Airport shuttle services run from Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa airports to Milan central station (Milano Centrale) and from Venice Marco Polo and Venice Treviso airports to Venice Mestre station (Venezia-Mestre) train station.

Airport shuttle services also run from Begarmo Orio al Sirio (Ryanair’s Milan Bergamo) airport to eithe Milano Centrale or Brescia train station (40 minutes from verona on the Milan – Venice line).

From the Verona station (Verona Porta Nuova), the city centre is a 20 minutes walk, 8 minutes in a taxi or most buses go from the station to Piazza Bra, the main central square where the Arena Amphitheatre and Gran Guardia are found. By taxi it takes around 7-8 minutes to reach city centre from the Verona station.
By Car
Verona is at the crossroads of the main north-south, east west motorways.

From the east or west, take the A4 Motorway SERENISSIMA, Milan-Venice, exit Verona Sud.

From the north or south, take the A22 Motorway Brennero-Modena, followed by the A4 Motorway Milan-Venice, direction Venice, exit Verona Sud.

The motorway is approximately 4 km away from the city centre. Take the Verona Sud exit, then follow the signs “tutte le direzioni” (all directions) and then the sign for “centro”
(city centre).
By Bus
The city centre is linked to the surrounding towns and villages, as well as Lake Garda, by a public transport bus service (APTV Service). These are the blue buses and can be boarded at the central bus station, situated directly opposite the train station (APTV Service).
Taxis cannot be hailed on the street. Taxis can be found at taxi ranks dispersed throughout the city. The main points are the train station, Piazza Bra and Piazza Erbe 24 hours a day. You can also call a taxi on 045-532666.
